Spray bar

Bought my new lights, ecotech radion xr15 and the rms mounts.

I am using the Aquarium Plant Food rear entry pipes and the drop on them isn't enough to clear the mount fully so I am having to use the Radion rimmed tank spacer and slide it down a little bit and feed the pipe through the gap.


This means that the spray bar will be about 10mm from the surface and about 30mm to the Base of the bar . Will this cause any issues. I plan on angling it very slightly towards the front glass. I have read that the higher the better but never seen one this high before....

Hi Rob I find it hard to visualise what you describe but that looks a small spray bar, how big is the bar and length of tank?

Oh that isn't the spray bar I'm using... I just put it there to show how far from the rim it is.

The one I will be using, well 2 actually (1 from each filter) will be about 50cm each. The tank is 120cm.

Lol got you buddy, I was like that was a very small spray bar

Lol, it'd just a small section. Al I'm wondering if it's too close to the surface

I don't think it will be a problem.

I think I've sorted it out, found some larger rubber suckers to bring the spray bar in front of the mount now... So can have it as high or low as I want
