I would certainly not be risking reusing any of the components of your CO2 system until you are absolutely 100% certain of what happened and can take steps to ensure it doesn’t repeat itself. I buy refilled fire extinguishers from a specialist fire protection company. Last time I went to collect a couple, they had a whole new procedure in place, and had zip ties on the handle pins etc. This was because within the industry someone had been killed when an extinguisher accidentally activated within a vehicle, effectively creating a heavy metal rocket.
