looking to attach newly purchased weeping miss to something, possibly slate to form a kind of carpet...STUPI QUESTION ALERT!!
Can I use standard shop bought (say B&Q) slate aslong as its been washed??

Tank broken down, washed, soil and sand added. Just awaiting plants and MTS

It's not how I would like it but will do just now

The slate mulch chippings? You certainly can, it's something I've done in the past and it works well.
Slate is usually fairly inert so it won't affect TDS etc very much if at all.

It's more a large thin slab to attach a decent portion of moss to and place near the front of my tank
