Hi guys/gals,
I’ve had my CPDs since OCT 2021 A few weeks ago I noticed a slight light patch on my female CPD she was otherwise fine (note: she was always a bit runtlike shaped). I thought she may have sustained an injury.

Yesterday, I found her mid tank lifeless and when to scoop her out. She darted to the bottom and then went motionless again except for her breathing. I’ve quarantined her in a nursery tank in the same aquarium. Her belly looks swollen and he underside is very rosy. She was still upright at the bottom of the nursery this morning breathing. I put a steamed pea( no skin) in and took some pics. Wondering if any one has any idea what’s going on or if I should do something different?

I should note the other 2 CPDs and 6 Dwarf Emerald Rasoboras are all fine and have been living together since early December. There are snails and 6 shrimp that all seem to be healthy (first inhabitants)

This fish sadly has dropsy, which in other words is organ failure. At this point there is nothing you can do to save it, and it should be put to sleep :(
Dropsy tends to be a secondary issue, so I would look into your water quality and other routines to see if there is something there that can be improved.
