Hi there.
I would really like to add some Cherry or Blue Shrimp to my planted tank.
I have an Oase Filtosmart Thermo 100 canister filter installed (set to minimum).
Would a Filter like this draw them into the inlet or are they quite strong/clever, like my Amano's who are fine.
Any advice tip's and tricks gladly received!
Thank you.
Simon.

Hi all,

It will for shrimplets. Usually they will live quite happily in the filter, you just need to make sure that you don't pour them down the sink when you clean the filter. I'm not sure that this is a viable option with a filter with a pre-filter.

Personally I like a sponge filter with shrimp, it gives them a browsing surface, as well as keeping them out of the filter. I like a <"substantial sponge block"> mainly because it allows me to have a fairly <"flexible maintenance schedule">.

cheers Darrel
