Shrimp shells in tank

I have amano shrimp in my tank and just noticed an empty shell at the bottom.
Do they shed their shells? bit like snakes shed their skin or has it been eaten???

They molt!

Its a good sign mate. They will regularly molt and they will most likely eat the shell. Good source of calcium don't you know 😉

Thanks for the replies, thats a relief, the shrimp tend to hide pretty well, I thought they may have been eaten although they are a good size.
