Shrimp Populations

I'm setting up a nano tank with some Celestial Pearl Danios, I'd like to include a small shrimp variety like Red Cherries, but I'm concerned about overbreeding. I've only used Amanos in the past. Obviously shrimp are great but I don't want them everywhere like a plague of locusts. Is this a legitimate concern or will the CPDs keep them in check if I don't start with too many?

Thanks!

From my experience, the population controls itself. So, unless you are purposely feeding the shrimp to grow them out, you'll not experience the shrimp plague.

CPDs are likely to eat small shrimp, but with enough plants and hiding places, they're unlikely to get them all.

I've had cherries in all my tanks for 2 years and still haven't experienced any overpopulation issues (as much as I'd love to).
