Hi guys,

A couple months ago I purchased some blue carbon rili shrimp and some red cherries for my office tank. I've noticed a number of new additions show up, this being the largest but the colouration is completely different.

I wonder do you think these shrimplets have reverted to their natural colour? Either way I think the colouration looks awesome!

Cheers

Probably the F1 generation of a cross between the blue carbon rilli and the red cherry. AFAIK they are completely different and unrelated lineages which means the first generation of a cross will lose all the recessive mutations and look more like wild type. Colours will start to show up again in subsequent generations in varying proportions, (also depending on who breeds with who) .
