What's the difference between neocaridina and caridina shrimp?

Different genus mate. Safe to keep together as they dont fancy each other and won't cross breed to produce nasty sub quality cross shrimplets.

nasty as in they would create less pretty colours and bland in colour.

ahhhh and nobady wants that! i guess that why people only choose to have one sort... If I did want different types I would need to make sure I had one of each genus?

or go for taiwan bee hybrids then you get CRS, CBS, snow whites etc...
