Hi guys,

What do you guys do when the shrimp cast their exuviae off? Shoud these be left in the tank or removed? I can see some shrimp around it. Would this make an important source of minerals to the animals? Do they contribute to leaking amonia?

cheers,

GM

You've answered your own question, they eat it to supplement minerals, mostly calcium. They won't contribute to ammonia as theres not much to decompose!

ok thanks,

I thought it could be as mentioned but was not really sure hence the question. ok will leave them in the tank then.

thanks,

GM
