Shops in Scotland

so my fish shop that i have gone to for years is shutting down http://www.outsideinsideaquatics.co.uk/shop-news.htm and looking for good shops near by, maidenhead aquatics in glasgow was recomended by hugh at outside inside aquatics but for the price to drive up there and back i could just get them delivered from tri-mar who charge £12.95 for up to 15kg (never had fish delivered). i no there are shop on leith walk in edinbugh but to hard to get to will tram work.

any sugestions would be helpful on shops near me recomender by u guys

Water Wonders on Gorgie Road in Edinburgh is really shabby looking, and pretty terrible for plants, but they do stock some interesting fish from time to time. Better than the other LFS Edinburgh has to offer, IMO. Generally good selection of SA cichlids, plus in the last few months have spotted interesting things like Indostomus, Darios, Vaillant's gouramis, several pencil fish species, various Boraras, gobies etc. Depends what you're after I guess.

If you're after something more specialist then talk to Colin Dunlop (http://www.thefishhut.co.uk/), he's across in Carluke and really knows his stuff, especially when it comes to anabantoids.

tetras are my love i have rummys, glow lights, lemmon, neons (black,blue,green) penguins and just got some jelly bean tets for hugh yesterday at a amazing price since hes shutting down.

i will take a trip up to Water Wonders hopfuly this week to take a look

I've bought a few things from there, but not really a fan to be honest. Stock tends to be quite generic, often a few dead fish to be found, plants are terrible to non-existent. Coming from outsideinside I don't think you'll be impressed, that place really was the best in this part of Scotland.

ye thats the thing nothing could compair to outsideinside as it was ace but let the search begin to find a new shop.
