Setup on 2 canisters

Plan to setup 90x45x50cm biotope tank using eheim 2217 and 2213.
Do you guys suggest I setup a biological filter on 2217 with biohome and seachem matrix and mechanical filter on 2213 with mr aqua ceramic rings and coarse pads. Or having identical biological and mechanical medias on both filters instead?

Tank will consist of 5 altums 7 corydoras and 30 rummynose.
Need suggestion thanks.

I personally would set both up to carry out both tasks so if one ever stopped while you were out or away then you would still have both types of filtration even if it was less effective than before.

I would use both mechanical and biological in each canister preferably. You need to remove solids first so as not to clog the bio media.

Hi Tom solids as in poo in the tank? And also since I'm doing a parallel setup does that mean I will get 2217+2213 flowrate?
