Not familiar with these products. Can you find out the geology of these?
Try citric acid or vinegar on a sample.. If it fizzes or degrades then they will affect water chemistry. ( I use dilute hydrochloric acid for my 'acid test' but not for everyone.)
Are they going to be used in tank with injected CO2, if so the water column will be more challenging to stones than a low tech set up.
