hi,

i'm in need of a sparky to jump in and give me a little advive here.

my ro pump gave up the ghost so i had to purchase a replacement. (E- Chen)

Comming out of the pump is a red wire and a black wire, both wires go into a white transparrent female connector but separated.

The transformer has the same red and black wire but a male connector.

The connectors only fit one way togeather male/ female and also shaped to fit only one way, however when connected the red wire goes to the black and the black wire goes to the red. surely this is not correct?
please see attached picture that clearly shows the red wire connecting to the black and black to red.
The connector only fits one way!!!

The pump says 24V DC, so it is highly likely that polarity must be observed.

You should be able, using fine pliers or other "proddy type instrument" be able to insert down the sides of the pump lead contacts, to release the contacts from their housing. They can then be re-inserted the other way round.
