I plan on rescaping my 230ltr tank in a few days, I have a spare 110 litre plastic storage box to house plants and fish while I'm doing it.
Currently running 2 filters 1 internal that's 1100ltr /per hour and my external is 2000litre /hour.
I wanted advice on how long I could leave my bigger filter without it on before bacteria would deteriote or how it's possible, I heard about leaving it open to get air to it with water still in but not sure on reliability.
I would run on the storage tank but would be too much flow for the smaller temporary box.
I plan on rescaping and planting (reusing most of the substrate) in 2 days so wouldn't be long I need it to last.
Any help would be great.
