Hi,

I am planning a rescape of my Juwel Rio 180. The aim is for a low tech tank. Lighting to stay as 2x 30W T8s, using liquid ferts/ CO2.

Here's the first trial rock scape

index.php

The plan is for the gravel to go and be replaced with more sand.

In terms of planting, I want to have some plants dotted among the rocks/ behind with sand in the front. I now need to decide on the plants, substrate and ferts/ carbon. What would people recommend for this scape.

I was thinking of putting ADA aquasoil under/ behind the rock area and then using liquid CO2/ ferts - any recommendations on these?

Plants wise I have a few in mind:

maybe some of this dotted between rocks: http://tropica.com/en/plants/plantdetails/Eleocharissp.(132D)/4573

I'd probably only have 3 - 4 types of plant in there, but wondering which would do well in my setup?

Thanks for your help,

Dan
