How often should I expect to replant a carpet of H.c Cuba? My tank has been running for about six months and the carpet has been pruned monthly. It's started to lift from the substrate now and growing into surrounding staurogyne and over bogwood. To redo it I assume I just lift it out divide it up and replant in patches?

Sounds like you're about ready for a redo. Once it starts to float up its the beginning of the end, mostly as it starts to affect the look of the scape.
Yeh just pull it up and replant as if it was coming out of a pot - small bunches using tweezers.
