Removing Roots?

Super noob here. Maybe it is a lack of patience but these roots are bugging me big time, and I would love to trim them off! Coming from a green thumb background this doesn't seem like an issue (long as I don't take too much too quickly) but wanted to see what the experts would recommend.

There is no issue removing these water-based roots!
Pinch them off with your thumb and finger.
