Removing AR620 rim.

Hi everyone,

I'm just wondering if anybody has any experience of removing the plastic rim from the top of AquaOne's AR range? I have a 620 (90 litres) with different lights and filter as an open top, which would look infinitely better with the rim removed. I'm a little worried that, due to it being a braceless tank, I might be removing the little structural support it has.
