Red Phanton Tetra in a Planted Aquarium

Not at all, there are planty of people who have kept them in planted tanks, even quite a few aquascapers on this forum have dont so successfully. :)

They're more likely to shred the Angels !!!. As mentioned, absolutely fine with plants and like mosts tetras, will colour up 10 times better than in the shop when you get them home.

I've not kept the Reds but have kept the black phantoms and they are a great tetra. The male's displays are superb with their jet black fins. Do make sure you get the proper red phantoms and not Serpae tetras as I have seen lots of them sold as red phantoms and they are much nippier fish.
