Is it ok to have any newly delivered plants just soaking in a bucket of water for a few days to a week? I've got some plants from melasia coming and some from the uk so one lot is gonna turn up befor the others. Just wandered if this will be ok till they all come and I can get planting

Have left plant's in a bucket of dechlorinated water overnight. (many snails bailed off). I think a week would be pushing it. If plant's were in pot's and only roots were submerged ,and some light were made available,, then maybe a couple days would be all I would risk. Maybe less depending on species of plant's.
I strive to get them planted as soon as possible but as mentioned,,I have let them set overnight.
