Purigen and medicine

Hi - I plan to use some esha 2000 and gdex medicines in my tanks. Does anyone know if you have to remove purigen from your filters for medicines to work? I know you have to take out carbon but I'm not sure about purigen?

Generally remove all media what removes waste and impurities so yes. Do exactly as it says with ESha including water change ,when not using ,hopefully solving your problem put carbon back in to remove medication,eventually putting back your purigen
