Hi,
when i buy potted anubias and ferns, they come in a pot with some absorbent "stuff" papery pulpy stuff, i need to remove this so i can attach the plants to my wood/rocks, is there any good tips to remove this easily, instead of picking away for ages and damaging roots?

I hate that problem too. I have a bucket of tank water that as I'm picking away I can wash the plant about in to remove loose pieces. I also don't worry once I've got the best part of it out. You cannot remove it all.
But I've recently started to worry alot less about damaging the roots of anubias and ferns. I cut about half of all roots away to nothing and do the half that would be facing the front of the tank, so when they grow back they do so in the direction of flow or of wood etc. I've noticed it seems to slow down initial leaf growth but once new roots have sprouted and usually quite long, the leaves grow like crazy.
Have fun 🙂

Gavin
