Hi guys, I'm planning to re-scape one of my aquariums that I had set up a few years ago from a tank that had been left outside for a few years.

The dimensions are as follow along with some details:

The height is 37cm
The Length is 76cm
The Width is 30cm
It is around 80L I believe, so aprox 20 US gallon?
Current lighting which I am not planning to change is one 25w Arcardia Original Tropical Lamp.
Plants that I have and will use include: Anubias Nana, Anubias Nana Petite, Cryptocoryne Wendtii Tropica, Cryptocoryne Wendtii Green and Micro-swords. <- an alternative to micro-swords will be appreciated as I seem to have it in all my tanks and unlike Anubias I don't seem to appreciated Micro-swords as much.

I am thinking about having a little section on the foreground with Crypt. Parva but I'm not sure if that will do well. I'm not looking for a tight carpet, just some plants potted here and there around a section. I'm also looking for a tall plant that is relatively narrow as I don't have any plants that are tall so once placed into position the horizon is pretty straight looking. Vallis won't do well in my setup as the water is on the soft side. I think Crypt. Balansae can be a potential candidate.

One thing to note is that the flow in this tank is not strong, probably not even reaching over half the tank when the two HOB filter are cleaned.

P.S It is a low tech aquarium, the substrate is sand with osmocote.

Opinions are appreciated,

Michael.
