Plant recovery after lack of dosing

If a tank were to miss dosing for a time, same no NO3 for several weeks and the plants started to show N deficiency, how long (roughly) after you start dosing NO3 again would it be reasonable to think the plants would start to show a recovery?

From a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the plant and tank (low tech/high tech). You could cut some of the old leaves to promote new growth.

Yeh I had thought about that. Its HC so relatively quick growing, just wonder if it might not be easier to rip it all out and start again!
