Hi all.... My tank is a 36" Jewell with an internal filter and an external Tetra filter.I apply CO2 at the rate of 3 bubbles a second and the bubles are added just under the internal filter outlet. I recently planted new plants namely Echin. Radicans 4 at rear left to center and 4 Echin.Compacta 4 at rear right (in line with internal filter outlet and CO2 bubbles).
All was well for 2/3 days but then the 4 Compacta developed thousands of holes in the leaves all of which stsrted to turn brown. A few of the leaves on the Radicans also showed signs of leaf holing but not to the same degree. I immediately assumed that the cause was the CO2 so I moved the CO2 outlet away from any plants and the situation now seems to have calmed down.
Also in the tank are Echin.Osaris,Amazon sward,Echin. Impii,Rubin, and Compacta Also Lobilia Cardinalis Dwarf,Lobilia Cardinalis, Cryptocorine. Is the tank overcrowded ? I dose with EI fertiliser six days per week and carry out water changes every two weeks.
I would very much appreciate comments regards the CO2 and the Compacta.
Take care all.... Frederick

That does sound odd. If you posted a picture im sure the problem can be identified easily.
BTW I noticed you posted your bubble count that can be an inaccurate way to measure CO2 you should always use the PH drop check.
Every set up differs 3bps second in my tank would give me 25ppm some else it could be10ppm depending on diffusion tools.
