So I set up a low tech dirted 37 litre/10 gallon aquarium a week and a half ago and I used a portion of dwarf hairgrass in it. My particular portion has hitchhiker plants, I got some mini hydrocotyle tripartita and a fragment of a bolbitis leaf which now has a plantlet on it.
I've also got this. I have never seen this plant online and IRL. In the beginning I thought it was decomposing plant matter but now I've noticed that it's growing and it looks sort of carnivorous.

Can I get a plant Id please?

Thank you! But its much much thinner than the photos online, mine is about as thin as a hair

That is about right, people often think it is <"an algae"> (rather than a flowering plant). I like it (and I have it in all my tanks), but <"it isn't universally appreciated">.

I've got this as well and it is really thin, it sprung up out of nowhere but seemingly does no harm. I quite like it as well.
