Im planning a trim back and slight replant this week And was thinking of adding a few new plants. What I want to know befor buying a few is if they will be ok in my discus tank.

Water params:

Temp: 28.
ph: 6.8 - 7.
kh: 4- 6.
CO2 injected.
Lighting: T8 38 watt twin.

Plants Im thinking of:

Lobelia cardinalis,
BACOPA MONERII,
LYSIMACHIA NUMMULARIA AUREA,
CRYPTOCORYNE BECKTII,

Cheers

I'm sure they crypts will be fine, as long as they don't get uprooted they are pretty hardy.

Hi mate,
Just put your plants in and get on with it. The plants really only care if you feed them properly with nutrients and CO2 and keep the water clean. Nothing else really matters.

From experience the only way to avoid crypt melt is CO2, enough CO2 and good nutrients will prevent all issue with them.

Stems are just glorified weeds, they would just grow with nutrients and CO2.

The issue is often light, from my experience, less is best. You can always increase as the plants gets established.
