Anyone know what this is ? Appeared in the tank a while ago and has steadily grown at the back. Delicate and damages really easily. When 'pruned' it appears to die back where it's been cut.

It's a liverworth, allright - most likely Monosolenium tenerum. This species can variate quite much in appearance from "skinny" to "fat". Colour is usually a touch of yellow in the green. The plant is allways quite crisp (and it's a PITA to get totaly rid of - just like sinking Riccia).
Alternative - Lomariopsis lineata - does not have the "nerve" running through the growth, which is seen on pic.s and usually have a far more " bottle-green" colour. This is never really that crisp.
- just realized I sound like disliking Monosolenium. I actually like it - tied to wood in small areas, it really makes an impact.......
