Pebble

I was given a large pebble a few years ago
I finally have a suitable aquarium for it
However there’s an issue I found whilst cleaning it, the pebble is covered with interesting looking “faults” these faults are red in colour and leech a bright red compound, any ideas as to what it may be, doesn’t look like iron to me, the images show on orangey red colour whereas the compound is much brighter more like scarlet red

I am not sure, won’t be putting it in the aquarium (which is a shame as it’s an impressive looking piece)
It was dug out of a garden in Sidcup Kent, many years ago, of course if could have been previously left by someone else
