I found the plants pearl better in softer water when I lived in West Yorks but now I've been in Lincs for a while where the water board tell me I have 12 / 15 dKH the plants seem to be getting the hang of it!!🙂
Don't see why hardness would affect pearling? The plants pearl when they have plenty of nutrients, light, and co2, right? Anything else is irrelevant...?
Cheers Sacha,
well I have to say I found the plants really fizzed in the softer water but seem reluctant to do the same in the harder water. They do of course pearl as that's just the photosynthesis but it's the manner in which they do this that seems different. It could be my lighting is a little less ?.🙂
