Hi all,
Please can people with Paradise fish lend me the benefit of their experience.
I'm finally about to order my tank and have settled on the Aqua Marin 900. Allowing for substrate and dropped water line the volume will be about 170 litres. It will be essentially unheated (I will leave a heater in for backup).
My questions are:
a) will they be OK in an open top tank? I know they are jumpers, but I plan to have the water 10cms from the top and have floating and riparium plants?
b) kept as "cold water" labyrinth fish will the lack of humidity in the average UK house cause a problem with no lid?
c) is a harem of 1 male and 2 or 3 females generally OK?
d) Based on a natural/Walstad setup I really want snails. I've read they generally destroy invertebrates, but have seen them in tanks with MTS, Ramshorns and Nerites. Do they eat the bigger snails or not?
e) are they generally OK with larger White Colud Minnows?
