Hey all.

We have been setting up our new Scaperline 90 today.

It comes with a protective sheet of timber that is meant to go under the tank. It’s not big enough to cover the whole cabinet surface. However there are no instructions on how to align it.

We’ve aligned it with front of stand and in the middle from side to side

How has everyone else done theirs? Does it even matter

Very thankful for the integrated adjustable feet. As you can see in photo, our floor is not great

🙂

Have you reached out to Oase? They are normally good at getting back in my experience of contacting them. If the board doesn't cover the footprint of the tank I'm unsure what its use is, you could always buy a bit of plywood and cut it to the correct size as an alternative. Does your tank overhang the cabinet at all by the way? I seen a thread on another forum where their Scaperline had an overhang with the cabinet.

Contacting them is my plan today 🙂

From the various YouTube setup videos I’ve watched it does seem that it is the correct size.

The levelling mat with Scaperlines does not cover the whole cabinet surface, and a gap (overhang) is created at the extremities. It is a little disconcerting, but that is how it works. Terrible pictures below.

Thanks Bradders! I thought that would be the case. I have just tried to align it so that it sits in middle of the tank.
That's the one. Just think about how to situate it so that it's as even as possible. BTW - You align the front of the tank over the doors, so when the doors are shut, it is flush.
It's a nice and sturdily built aquarium. Enjoy being poor as a result of purchase! 😀

Hi,
I would have thought centralising the mat between the cabinet and the tank having an equal overhang all the way round is the most obvious scenario. My tank overhangs the front of the cabinet by 20mm so that it sits flush with the doors and as such I see no reason why this cannot be continued all around the tank base if needs be.

Feeling very poor right now, but I am sure my AlgaeScape will be worth the expense.
