No co2 from FE to bubble counter

I cannot get my FE to work for some reason...
1. brand new 2KG CO2 FE
2. Have connected regulator to FE
3.Removed FE safety pin and squeezed handles on FE and taped them together
4. gauges on reg are showing 50 bar and 1.5 bar
5. connected co2 hose and solenoid valve (and turned it on)
6. No co2 getting from FE to bubble counter ????

Any idea what i have done wrong?

Hi, what solenoid are you using and is it definitely working??? Does it click when it's turned on?
It could be a fault with this not allowing gas through

Do you have a check valve and is it fitted the right way>?

Hi,

try connecting regulator direct to bubble counter, then solenoid & check valve in turn to find fault?

Took the Solenoid off and ascertained that co2 was coming through the regulator so it looks like the Solenoid is not working for some reason. Doesn't make the usual click when i turn it on (was working fine yesterday on the previous cylinder. ...)however i have tried to screw the Solenoid back on but the thread inside the regulator looks knackered and it won't screw back on. May have to buy a new regulator and a new Solenoid ?

Regulator thread sorted.
Problem is the Solenoid - dead as a dodo. Only had it 3 months so cheesed off it has gone wrong already. Will phone Maidenhead aquatics where i bought it from. Hopefully they will give me a new one instead of sending it to JBL for repair which i assume will take rather long :-[
