I'm new to the site and I'm hoping members can point me in the right direction.
I have a 144cm x 46 x 39 aquarium with two 42" (106)cm T8 Juwel Day- Lite tubes.
The hood cannot accommodate full length 4' tubes.
At present it's mainly fish only with just some java fern. Anubia and Cryptocorynes. I'm now looking to increase the range of plants available to me .
With this in mind I'm looking to purchase an Arcadia 24- 39w dual T5 controller but am struggling and a little confused by which two T5's to buy.
Practically I'm limited, obviously by tube length but also by finances. LED's are out of the question at present.
I have read the thread by James C on cheap HO T5's but cannot locate any of the tubes mentioned in the lengths I would need.
Which two T5's would members advise me to look for?
Can the Arcadia double controller run two tubes of different wattages. For instance one at 24W the other at 39w ?
Any pointers and clear advice would be much appreciated.
