Hi there. You have come to the right place. Lots of experienced and dedicated aquarists here.
They are very good at pointing novices in the right direction.
I would suggest you post a list of what you are thinking of getting before purchase and what you want to achieve.
That way you will get expert knowledge from several sources.
Much better than trusting one aquarium shop. Who sometimes are not experts.
Take some time researching the equipment, plants, fish and tanks.
I am no expert but I am learning very fast.
