Recently started a new tank after a gap of a few years. Low tech as was my previous set up but this one is somewhat smaller, 80cm x 40cm x 40cm, Tetratec ex 800 filter with full length spray bar, using one of the two supplied Led lights which have been on for 7hrs per day. Coming up for 4 weeks running. The planting has been inplace from day one. Due to a very busy period at work I haven't done any water changes as yet and haven't tested any parameters as I'm not a fan of shop bought test kits. Initially I did plan to add a few fish but, as we have just bought a new build house which will be ready in a couple of months I've decided to wait untill we move before contemplating adding fish.
