I just wanted to let everyone know that I bought and installed a new Fluval 306 external filter for my Juwel trigon 190.
The aquarium came new with a Bioflo 300 internal filter system which is ok but not, in my opinion, capable of coping with a planted tank and quite a few fish on its own as i was starting to get slightly hazy water and a bit of algae forming on plants. This led me to putting in a secondary filter.
The new Fluval filter was really easy to install and is whisper quiet. My tank water is now crystal clear and all looks fantastic.
My only complaint about the 306 is the intake pipe and output head are pretty nasty to look at and need disguising with plants etc.
