Evening all,

I've read through so many threads and appreciated all the knowledge you have all shared that I thought (now that I actually have a tank) I should actually join and say thank you!

I've finally gotten round to buying a tank and a few main bits for it, albeit a very small tank considering what I used to have. Whilst I've not been fish keeping for 10+ years, I have had two large reef tanks in the past (180 gal & 120ish gal). I also spent about 5 years helping to moderate a large UK based reef forum.

This tank is a bit smaller than the ones previously, but so is the house they're in! So I start my tropical adventure with a dennerle Scaper's 35l kit. The tank looks decent quality which is more than I can say about the corner filter... However, I intend to modify it slightly and it should be fine to start with. The main reason for this tank was that it fits the space I have (am allowed for now), I'll try to add a picture, but it's literally sitting in an alcove.

My plan is to go low tech, lots of plants, and a few small fish, perhaps a pair of killifish, perhaps scarlet badis, maybe something else. Regular large water changes and not over stocking.

Any advice would be welcomed, and thanks once again for all your shared knowledge. I'll try to post some pictures later today.

Cheers,
Dan
