Evening all!
So I'm coming back from the salty side, bought the forever home in Cornwall and it was a rather large move so I sold up instead..

So I went and saw a great friend whilst we were visit family, John at aquarium plant food UK.
Aswell as having a good chin wag, slag session and epic coffee in the kitchen.. I came away with a rather full boot in hope to create something rather magnificent.

I'm pretty sure I'm going to light it with the Chihiros a series plus as a lot have had great success with it.
Filtration was the steal of the century with a 2 month old fluval 106 for £12 whole pounds!
Going to make my own stand/unit I think, so it's how I want it. Pretty handy with wood (no pun intended)
Unless I find a co2 cannister I'm going to order one from Machine Mart, it'll last months on a tank this size!

I think I'm going to just stock with shrimp and see how it all goes from there, not really looking into plants that much as everything's been a bit hectic these last few weeks, first thing is to get the stand made, order the light and get some single branch bits of manzi or similar unless something catches my eye.

Bit of a thrown together start to the journal so hopefully my next one if more organised.
Massive thanks to John at aquarium plant food UK, go have a look the website, lots of glass on sale!
Cheers,
Matt

Just to add, where the tank name comes from,
House we bought was number 32 new beginnings, old house was number 32. Just seemed fitting.

Sort of know how that feels; we moved from a house on a road named Inholme to another called Farholme in a different county...
Nice glassware btw.

Nice stuff....be aware that the chihiros A plus is too powerful for this shallow tank.

I got the chihiros rgb on my 60F and it's dimmed at 70%, and I'm still struggling with hair algae!

Cheers, We viewed 6 houses in a day and that was the last, the new beginnings sealed the deal haha.

Cheers, any recommendations on other units which would suit it better?

So just to clarify your light unit is running at 70% or 30% light? My marine leds were running at 50% so I've no problem with running it at a reduced power.

30% light and I'm using the inox stand to get it higher on the tank.

Chihiros A series (normal not plus) or RgB dimmed at 50% would be ok for your tank. ;)

Right! Thanks. I'll have a think about which one to get, rgb is appealing! I remember reading your journal because I remember thinking this scape drawing is epic! (with the red and green plants)
Thanks for the reply!
Matt.
