I’ve been struggling to grow plant for a while now I seem to do works.
The plant are grown really flat and stay toward the surface they do produce new leaves but no height at all.
It all seems to kind of occur when I moved over to discus I think.

Not sure what to do
It’s a 200 litre tank which has been running for about 5-6 yrs now
It has 2x 25watt aquasky I was using t8s before
No co2/carbon did try carbon but didn’t seem to do much for the plants
I do add miracle grow seeds under the substrate for the plants

Ignore the apong as this has been transferred from a smaller tank into this one. That is the is the only way I can get the plants to grow e.g in my shrimp tank they grown prefect there too much growth here it’s a different story

Here is a video of my tank

For newbies to dosing I recommend EI dosing, idk if your in the UK or not but NilocG carries my go-to EI products, for beginners to dosing I highly recommend the 500ml bottles with macro/micro nutrients.
I would start there-> nutrients because miracle grow seeds (not sure what these are, assuming you are talking about the fertilizer pellets from the product) can be poisonous to fish as well as harmful to overall tank health.

Yes I’m in the uk and ok i’ll have a look at that product. The main concern is why the plants are growing so flat and staying near the substrate there is no height with them at all
Not sure why that is the case

Yes EI or a decent all in one complete liquid fertiliser dosed daily.

I assume you upped the temperature when you changed to discus? The warmer the temp, the less co2 dissolved.
