I have hemianthus cuba in my new setup. (It is 375 liters and i use 8X54W T5 lighting (6 hours/day)).
I have got now lots of brown leaves, what can be problem, any advice?
With 472w over 375 liters, if your co2 and flow are not perfect you will have lots of problems with any plant. Is it BBA what is making your leaves brown?
I haven't got any algea problems since setup. But only got brown leaves on cuba. I use ATI dimmeable so all 472w doesn't work at the same time in fact.
Those look like hungry cubans, to me !!
Like said; you've got a lot of light.........are you following up with ferts and CO2?? And is your flow bringing those to the plants ??
Hem. 'cuba' need very good access to ferts and CO2, to thrive.
I have setup the tank 3 weeks ago, and didn't started fertilising yet. I follow CO2 and seems good, and see lots of photosynthesis. But will check the flow again try to use wave maker.
I cant sell my light unit but i have decreased the light to 226 Watt, and increase the CO2 amount and circulation. Now going to trim the brown leaves and watch the development. Any other idea?
