Hi guys going to be setting up my first nano tank, not sure what plants yet but poss hc and hairgrass, the tank is 17l andcomes with a 9w light . Is this enough light or will I need to upgrade? will be adding easycarbo and ferts.

cheers guys

Hello and welcome!
George Farmer recommends 1w/litre for nanos to grow anything, but i know others have reported success with HC at lower wattage. I've never grown HC but from following the threads of thought from the experts on here it is much more common for HC to fail due to poor circulation throught the bottom layers of the tank than light problems. Sort out your CO2 and other nutrients and flow to distribute them to the bottom of the tank and you may well get away with lower wattage.
Hope this helps!
Matt
