This was my first real attempt at a low tech Dutch style aquarium with a nice carpet and I was really proud of it. I would say it reached its peak back in May.

Unfortunately, as some of you may have expected, it has recently started undergoing some drastic changes and it sadly looks nothing like this anymore due to the sheer overwhelming power of that H. Tenellum carpet. At the moment i am trying my best to attempt a re-scape without fully tearing it down or messing with it too much, but I will miss the way it looked before.

This is a standard Aqueon 5.5gallon with 2 sponge filters, a 10 dollar amazon aquarium light that I forgot the name of, and an oversized heater that I failed to hide.
Stocked with 4 danios, a colony of ramshorn and trumpet snails, some ghost shrimp, and a few heterandria formosa.
Plants from left to right:
Wild myrio red
Samolus parviflorus (died)
Wild hygrophila polysperma
Ludwigia sp red
Rotala rotundifolia
Cryptocoryne (forgot the full species name)
Alternanthera Reineckii
Carpet is Helanthium Tenellum
Floaters were duckweed, salvinia, and redroot floaters at some points of its life before I moved.
