Here’s a little update of my 36 gallon planted from when I first planted it to now.
There are 14 or so species of plants in there currently. As far as inhabitants the only theses in there now are 15 red cherry shrimp and Nerite snails. There’s also tons of random small snails and worms (I forgot what the worms are called but they’re apparently good for the tank)

No fish yet because I wanted to give the shrimp some time to set up a colony and it seems to be working because I just spotted the first new babies and a couple of the shrimps have eggs.

I’m thinking of doing a group of sparkling gouramis (maybe 6?) and then some Cory catfish and Otos for cleaning but I haven’t committed to anything yet.
Stock suggestions would be appreciated.
But as far as plants everything’s growing like crazy and seems very healthy
What do you guys think?

sparklers are lovely. They sometimes hide quite a bit, though they'll come out and have "meetings" to sort out breeding. They can be feisty with one another. Mine bred easily. I'd imagine they'd take baby shrimp. I'd have quite healthy numbers of Cory so that there's activity. I find sparklers really like floating weeds to hunt in and build nests. They tend to hunt on the surface at dusk, whether or not there's much small critters.
