Well after posting in the intro section I thought i'd share with you the setup I am running and general maintenance of the tank. Any criticism or advice would be greatly appreciated.( Being a newbie to planted tanks).

Tank setup -
Fluval roma 125l, Tetra tec ex700 external filter with spray bar, small aqua one air pump.

Lighting -
2x20W T8's (hood and lights lined with aluminium foil). adding reflectors shortly.

Livestock -
5x serpae tetras, 3x black phantom tetras, 4x splash tetras, 5x marble hatchet fish, 1 golden danio, 1 zebra danio and a very active hill stream loach.

Maintanance,
Lighting - on at 9am, off at 9pm
Dosing - 2.5ml easycarbo daily, 12.5ml profito weekly
Water change - 30 to 40% weekly, water temp 25c

I would like some small plant species at the front of the tank but Im worried about rooting probs with the size of gravel ive got. any suggestions appreciated.

Staurogyne repens is a nice foreground plant that is relatively easy to keep. Keep your eye open for tropica's 1-2-grow pots of it...
