Hi guys

Im moving in a months time and the new apartment is a hour and a half away. I have three tanks One is a ada 60p and the two aquanano 30 and 40. The 30 i don't have to worry as i will be starting a new scape but the 40 shrimp i want to keep it how it is.

I need advice on the best way to move a tank with out messing the hardscape.

Cheers
Ryan

I'd say: remove all the shrimp, as much as possible at least, take out as much water as you can, leaving a cm. or 2 for the remaining shrimp (saving say half the water in a sealable bucket for transport), then put as much (wet) newspaper and kitchentowels as you can between the plants and the hardscape, "locking" them in place. Then slide the tank onto a slightly larger wood board/ plank, supporting the bottom, and carrying it like that to the car. Put it on the backseat, and put the seatbelt around it, so it won't move as much. Ideally, you should put it behind the passenger seat, and then slide and tilt that seat as far back as possible, so it locks the tank in place on the backseat. When you arrive at your new home, do the same, but in reverse order. Should be okay like that.
