Moss Trim Advice

So there is an image of my moss which is growing well, there is probably no right or wrong to trimming but I dont want to over do it ? (the Cherry Shrimp love it and seem to live there )

If you don't want a mess on your substrate this video shows a good way to do it.

I'd just trim the straggly bits to maintain the overall shape.
