moonlighting

Not sure how it would be to be honest bud.

I've just ordered theses for my 4ft 300lt though,

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Aquarium-24-LED-L ... 255bd3753a

it runs the full 4 ft and also with there being two I can just run one if I need to.

I've ordered one adapter but might order a second one, could have full moon light on timer dropping to a single strip between say 10pm and 6am.

couldn't tell you to be honest!

I've read that most marine aquariums get moon lit so I'm assuming that the fish there are fine with it.

Will have to see I suppose!

well, here's an update for those of you who are interested.......

the 48cm, 48 bulb, LED strip has been delivered and i have installed it.

verdict:- at first, not impressed but i thought it might improve some as it got darker. especially as my tank is right next to full length french doors and today was quite sunny....and how right i was!!! i am very happy with the results and i think this amount of light is enough for my tank which is 4ft (120 cm) long and about 65cm high. it gives me enough light to see the fish yet not too bright i think to bother the fish!

cheapest mod i have had made to the tank costing £3.00 from ebay!!!!
