Have issues I never experienced before.
4.5-month-old ADA 60P
First, notices that Montecarlo which was doing fantastic started to get yellow/brown at some spots. It looks like chlorosis/necrosis. Then all of a sudden water become cloudy - did change the charcoal and rough mesh filter pads - cleaned the media (using tank water). As a result, the water cleared for 1 day and then got cloudy again. Now 3 weeks into this - the water is always cloudy (even after 60% changes). No noticeable algae. Chloris/necrosis on Montecarlo at full swing now as well on new leaves from buces and on helianthus. Growth is suspended noticeably.
ADA 60P, ADA Aquasoil (Regular) substrate+CO2 (2,5bpm) - the tank is 4.5 months old. GH 1/KH 120-150 ppm./ Temp 20,5 C
Most of the plant mass is montecarlo+some rotalas, buces, h.micranthemoidus. Eheim 2217 (so, enough filtration) The daily dosing of ADA green brighty (except Nitrogen) +occasinally ADA Green Gain, PhytonGit and ECA PLUS. Twinstar 600s light. 8 hours gradually from 10 to max 45% of the power. Weekly changes 50% With a mix of tap15% and RO water+GH booster to keep 130ppm. Fauna - minimum (7 Oto, 5 Golden Tetras, less than 10 shrimps)
Up until last week did not dose Greenbrighty Nitrogen as it says that it is needed after 6 months. Not sure if my biomass sucked all the NO3 from the soil. NO3 test is always zero (as it probably should be as all the nitrogen is in the soil and the usage is high so nothing going to the water column). Also, a lot of Montecarlo, as well as buces, are attached to the driftwood - so they do not have the ability to get NO3 from the substrate, but before they were doing great. Does it mean that the substrate is no longer "leaking any or enough" NO3 to the water column? At the same time - Montecarlo at the ground level is not looking good either and the rotala orange is quite red (NO3 def). At the same time, Staurogyne looks quite healthy...
Started dosing an ADA Nitrogen week ago - no noticeable changes in the affected plants - only worsening.
Picture from the end of September and now.
Any advice or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
